Yesterday during our village rummage days I found a Singer Touchtronic 2001 in excellent condition I am quite intrigued I know it is not an old machine I can date it to 1978 I wasnt even sewing then but it is missing the manual it has a walking foot, ruffler, buttonhole foot, quilting foot . I would like to see about oiling it before I run it. I only paid ten dollars so I cant be out anything

Singer has the manual for $15 but sometimes you can find them online free.

A free parts list (may want to get just in case)

Don't you just love it when the manual is more expensive than the machine! Sounds like a nice find! Well done.

I have a singer manual #357613-001 that I sent to singer for our school machines...its an extra one and I don't know if it goes with your machine or not but its yours if you want it. Did you try calling singer, they sent this one to me for free.???

Wasnt that one of the first computerized sewing machines? I have a friend that when the new latest and greatest comes out she buys it. She said that she paid like $3000 for that rascal back in the day if that is the same one I am thinking about.

Can you post a picture of it? That might help. Many of the older machines are very similar in their need for oiling.

A Japanese version of the Singer 128, and quite a rare find!
