Hello all, I'm looking for a pattern for a bigger purse, possibly a tote bag that the top of the purse/tote folds down over the bag and then you do not see into the bag...can anyone help me with a name of a pattern ... I hope someone will know what i'm talking about Thanks

It sounds like a messenger bag.

well it folds over like a messenger bag, but i'm looking for a bag sorta like a sock, you roll the cuff down, but then the whole top will fold over...hard to explain..saw one at an arts and craft show but the price tag was $75.00 and I know I can make one alot cheaper :) but just need to find a pattern but thanks

I think I know what you mean .... the entire top folds over on to one side or the other, and is sometimes secured with a snap or button. I've seen them ... now to find the pattern!!

if you google or use another search go to free purse patterns and I am sure you can find it there.

Try going to:

allfreesewing.com

then on the left where all the categories are listed, click on "Bags & Purses". See if there is anything there that would work for you.
