    Default Utah Quilt Shops

DH and I will be traveling to Utah this summer. Any must-stop quilt shops in the SLC /Draper area?

Also, any recommendations for restaurants, pet friendly hiking, shopping, must- sees?

    Thanks,
    Michelle

http://www.quiltershaven-ut.com/ in Bountiful if you get north of SLC. Pipers Quilt downtown SLC http://www.pipersquilts.com- kid's clothing patterns, too. We enjoy hitting the Diners, Drive-ins and Dives spots in our travel. Been to the following in SLC and all were very good: http://www.patsbbq.com, http://www.moochiesmeatballs.com, http://theblueplatediner.com/about-us/. If you google DDD in SLC, there are even more listed. And finally this one for breakfast/lunch: http://www.pennyannscafe.com (we recently went to the SLC location (breakfast- pancakes are huge) but they have one in Draper). There are a lot of hiking trails including Antelope Island State Park. Beautifully designed shopping center: http://www.shopcitycreekcenter.com A little over 25 years, we went to SLC for the first time and took the kids to Temple Square (the Latter Day Saints church headquarters) for the complimentary tour. One last Triple D place up in Roy, UT- has fry sauce, the local mayo/ketchup mixture for the fries-https://plus.google.com/100742927016588462278/about?gl=US&hl=en-US. When they featured this place on Triple D, they also featured the milkshakes made from scratch. Have a wonderful trip!

Quilts Etc. in Sandy can keep you looking for half a day. For eating, don't miss The Red Iguana in Salt Lake City for the best Mexican food ever. Everyone who knows about it eats there--favorite of the locals.

Try Fabric Center in West Jordan. It is large and not only carries quilting cottons, but lots of flannel and other fabric too. The address is 9135 S Redwood Rd West Jordan, UT 84088 | 801-561-8726
