I have the Binding Tool from The Quilters Mercantile. I find it very helpful, however, I did have to watch the demo video on YOU TUBE several times. I have always had a "problem" connecting the binding where it meets. This little tool took care of that problem. I always finish my binding my hand.
It is one of my favorite parts of quilting.

This is about 2 1/2" wide I am not sure exactly how long and at one end has the angle on it. To make my long story short, I guess what I have been meaning to say that it is used to cut your binding with.

I have the Simplicity binding ruler. It cuts perfect bias binding but you have smaller pieces to join to together at each end of the fabric but no 1/4" tips to have to line up at an angle, just straight seam sewing. It sure is easy to cut bias binding. Don't fold the fabric. LOL I learn that lesson I ended up with perfect cut picture frames.

quilterj, Is it the rotary cutter that cuts strips? I saw a thread on one of them here awhile ago and the vote for them was almost totally 'Don't waste your money!'

Here is the link to the tool I have. I love the clips from
the Missouri Quilt Company on YouTube They are very helpful. I also used this tool to make a friendship braid table runner.
