Wish I could help you. I also am retired and just started to quilt 3 years ago. I have no one around to do things with either. SSSOOO happy hunting. Hope you find some one soon.

I long for a quilting buddy too, but I llive in North Caroling. My neighbor likes to quilt also, but she is always on the go and can't get much time to sew.

The quilt shop in Highland is called Rosemary's at 812 9th St. It is in an old house. It can be tricky to find but well worth it. Don't forget to check out the basement (usually has discount fabric there).

I too am considering retiring pretty soon, I sure would like to hang out with you, but unfortunately unless you make a trip to California or I to Illinois it won't happen. Anyway I hope you find a someone close to you and enjoy your buddy. I hope to find someone close to me. (Bell Gardens, Ca)

I'm in VA, but would love to be your sewing/quilting buddy. Now, we just have to figure out how.
Enjoy.
