Default Patchwork party 2012?

I discovered the patchwork party quilts over the weekend. WOW Awesome colors and patterns. Is there a forum somewhere for people who are making these?

This is the one I fell in love with!

I'm doing it too, but designing my own setting when I finish the blocks. Did you receive yours yet? I have all blocks but one.

I haven't bought any of them, I only found it 2 days ago. I want to buy one of them though! The colors are perfect!

Is there a forum anywhere for people to chat about these? I've searched the quilting board and can't find any.

There is a Facebook page for it. It's Patchwork Party 2012 on Facebook. That's the only chat place I've seen about it. I've gotten in 7 of the blocks, going to order the last 5 this week. Then I have to decide whether I want to use the rust or purple color in the blocks and then which finishing kit.

Great! I've never done a patchwork party so I'm a bit lost. So you CAN decide on the finishing kit later! I was thinking the same thing but they say on the website you need to decide the finishing kit first and then start buying the blocks.

Which quilt are you making Gina?

I'm leaning toward using the Rasberry instead of Rust (I called it purple before). You just need to know which one you are going to use before you order the finishing kit because it will come with one or the other. Each kit comes with both the rust and rasberry colors so you can see the actual fabrics together and decide which you like--then order the finishing kit. I haven't decided on the finishing kit yet, but I do like the one at Shabby Fabrics and the one at Stitchin Heaven. I don't know why they say to pick your finishing kit first as you need to see which combo you like the best.

Wow! What gorgeous quilts. It's totally amazing how the different finishing kits make totally different looking quilts. Some are so different, it would be easy to not even realize that the blocks in each are all the same.

Wish there was some way to buy all the patterns and the fabric all at once. I'm allergic to the chemicals in unwashed fabric, so all my fabrics must be prewashed. One of the sites mentioned that the supplied fabric for their block is cut "just enough" and suggested buying an Opps kit "just in case". That means careful washing could shrink the supplied fabric just enough to make it impossible to cut out the pieces for the block.

One thing I did notice as I drooled my way through all twelve shops and that is the "Whoops/Opps" bundles are not all the same price.

It pays to shop!

I'm sooooo looking forward to seeing your finished quilts next year.
