On Aug 1, my DH and I traveled to Jamestown TN (north of Crossville) for the 127 Yard Sale. He has family there. Before we went I was to make a list of quilt shops in the area. What fun. I just have to plug the ones we went to. The first was in Monterey Tn, The Purple Mountain. Next, we stopped at Little Blessing Quilt Shop, just north of I-40 and Crossville, Lovely shop (I go there everytime we are "in the neighborhood"), after that we went to Harriman for the Loose Threads Quilt Shop where I found Heavenly Hollyhocks fabric my friend (pollyv9) and I had been searching for, and then on to Sevierville to the "cherry pit" quilt shop. We also went to my husband's cousin's small fabric shop and the long arm quilting that she and her husband does (Weston's Quilt shop). All were great, found some great fabric and patterns and they all rate first class and I believe that are all online. On the way home we went to Marshall Dry Goods and I bought a batt of 80/20 batt plus two bolts of tone on tones. Great place...good that I don't live there but it is only about 330 miles from my house, hmmmmm? All in all a great getaway, my own little shop hop.
