I saw a tute recently for making a hexagon "flower" from the circle cut for a yo yo. And, now I can't find it or remember where I saw it!! Anyone know???? Thanks! P.S....it was made by folding the circle into 6 sections.

Try this, cut a 2 inch circle of paper, fold it in half.
Hold the folded circle, rounded edge out, on a ruler, mark at 1/2 inch from the left and 1/2 inch from right. Draw a line to the rounded edge and fold from these marks and you get six equal sections.

Fold from the center of the folded edge to the outer mark.
Maybe that sounds clearer, try it. And if someone has a formula for this, let me know.

This makes 8 sides, not 6. I like the idea of cutting it straight across the curved edge, which would have to be done to make a hexagon.

My method makes 6 sides.
