My son just called and begged for half an hour for a quilt with a wolf on it. I am thinking that the wolf would be either paper pieced or appliqued. Anyone know of a good wolf pattern?

If you do machine applique, this is a great pattern.

Oh the things we try when the kids call....

I had seen where someone had a wolf panel for sale...maybe that would work and not be so bad to do.

I have done a couple of wolf ones but never paper pieced or appliqued. Good luck and have fun :-)

Lots of interesting things by just typing search into this forum. Look at these cool mug rugs for a starter http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-80216-1.htm

I have made one for SIL with wolf fabric. Check keepsake quilting or virginia quilting. I bought the fabric several years ago but I'm sure there would still be some around.

I have a great quilting pattern with a wolf howling at the moon. I will go look for it.

If you want it, just PM me and I'll send it to you. It is a wall quilt, but I bet it could be made into something bigger, or used as a quilt center.

Found it.

I'm happy to know that you like that pattern. I've never done that style of applique, so I'm taking a class in March. I will be doing the bear from the same pattern company during class, then doing the moose later on my own.
