I also cannot find the TV remote. Maybe they are together!

My kids used to put random items like that in our shoes or the cleanout bag of the vacuum cleaner. Do you have a dog?

I hate it when you HAVE TO clean to find something. (LOL) I don't mind cleaning - but - not to find something. What is really buggy is when DH hunts for an item with me. He will remember every thing he sees in a pile. In my world, I can tell him what ISN'T there - the lost item!! (LOL)

For me, I find it as soon as I put the new one away. There is the one I lost right where it belongs!

We're always losing the phones in the house (got 3 remote phones). It's usually me trying to find them when it starts to ring. DH has a habit of carrying them off when he's talking and he doesn't remember where he puts them. I have found all 3 of them right next to one another....none in the correct place. LOL Glad you found one...keep looking, the remote will turn up where least expected.
