my dil has just got a singer simple sewing machine for Christmas and is having difficulty adjusting the pressure foot. Does anyone else have this machine or have any idea how i might be able to help her?

Have you checked out the Singer website? Wonder if there's actually a yahoo group for it?

Does it list auto tension on the list of functions in her paperwork or on the box?

She said she looked in the manual and saw nothing for adjusting the pressure foot. She is a newbie to sewing so I am trying to help her. I went to the singer site and couldn't find the model she gave me. I am not that computer savy I guess.

My son bought one and the pressure foot had one speed. FAST. We called Singer and they replaced it. The new one works great.

I am thinking that it has an automatic tension on the pressure foot.
