It is not working. Sounds like it is working but nothing moves inside.

My machine, a Janome 6500 has never had a problem until now. I am really missing it! My hubby took it with him went he went for meetings in the city. It has been gone for 3 hours.
Here is the skinny! They will probably charge at least $35 to look at it and maybe more. They will apply that to the charge for parts and labor required to fix it, which will probably be heaven only knows how much, but it won't matter because you've got a great machine and if it can be repaired, you will get it repaired because you want it back!

I'm going to guess $112 will get her home and into your sewing room. froggyintexas

Depending on the brand of machine anywher between $35.00 and $60.00 dollars. There is usually a 10 to 20% markup, depending on the shop.

I think you pay a higher price in Canada for everything but I have a Janome 6500 as well and I have had to have it in the shop a couple of times and it is still causing problems. One shop was to call me back after they got in touch with the factory. Never heard a word. I didn't have to pay on that one. Another guy looked at it and cleaned it up-lots of lint and thread in the mechanism. The problem was that after you took your foot off the foot pedal it woul continue to run. Well it is doing it again and I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I do have a Jem Gold back up so I am not totally without a machine.

My guess is $95. No matter what machine or what's wrong with it, my repair guy starts out at $95. From my FW to my computerized machine it always starts out at $95 and goes up from there.

I think it will be $75.00 because they won't stop there.
