Working all day, measuring, designing a quilt...finally had to ask DH if I was measuring correct! Yep, you sure are. Told him what I was doing and he replied " can't see how that is going to turn out". Ok, were brave quilters, we cut as we all know this is going to work.....Well, I was correct with measurements, sewed it together. Displayed my design to him and he then replied "Wow" but now you need to add some darker greens, darker purples I am sure you have this in all your material downstairs. After going back & forth about the colors...I very politely told him, he TAKES ALL MY FUN OUT OF THIS FROM GOING TO THE LOCAL FABRIC STORE....:) Just wait until he wants to go to a local Antique shop for more player piano rolls and we go back & forth that I think he just may have that one in his collection already :) Gotta Love yum...he is my advisor (of colors) when quilting. Hope to display picture of it real soon.

Can't wait to see! At least he takes an active role and is interested in what you're doing!

That he does...he will look at my quilts and if he doesn't say "one word" and walks away....it is his polite way he doesn't like it. If he stands and looks at my blocks and then starts adding color...he likes it :) Can't wait for him to see the one I am making him as a surprise gift....Should get a "Kiss" out of it, right! :)

Mine (husband) is usually polite, but noncommittal about my quilting. However, he went with me to a quilt shop while on vacation and was really getting into picking out a fabric for the quilt I am basting right now. He is a woodworker and I think he likes seeing the "puzzle" come together.

They can be frustrating at time but at least he cares enough to be interested. It sounds like he has a good eye for color.

My DH has no eye for color or design.
DH leaves me alone except to say he likes something.
