A friend was offered one for $500. She was told the machine is about 7 years old. Seller said she only used it about 4 times and since she and DH were downsizing into a smaller home she needed to sell it. I told my friend I'd pass along any comments from the quilters here. Thanks, May in Jersey

I have one. I bought mine new in 2001 for $1400.00
It's a great machine. Have had no problems with it whatsoever.
I've owned Vikinigs for years and loved everyone of them. It's not a lightweight machine, so I would reccomend something else to haul around to classes etc.

I had one for 3 or 4 years. I loved it - it did everything I wanted. I regret trading it in for a Viking Sapphire.

I have the 555 which just has a bit more to it than the 545. Love the machine...The very best buttonholes...stitch is consistant and I can do some lovely free motion on it. Haven't used it as much since gettting the Juki TL98, but won't part with it.
