    If you go to your local florist and ask if they can save you the mesh that comes on the roses, you can use them to cover your spools of thread so they don't come unraveled. The florist usually throws them out, so they should not charge you for them.

    I just read this and called my local grocery store. They are expecting a shipment on Thursday and are willing to sell them to me.

    Usually they make wrist bands for kids for when they buy balloons. If they have too many, they trash them.

    Thanks for the hint!! I posted earlier that I use small scrunchy pony tail holders on my bobbins and now I have a method for taming thread :-)
