Default makes it all worth it.

When I first started quiliting a few years ago the second quilt was a lap quilt that I made was for my youngest son who was in his 20's. He left for an 8 week military training and drove 15 hours to the base. Once he got there he took a picture of the quilt I made on his bed there and sent me a text from his phone and the picture. And said thanks mom this kept me warm and thinking of home during my stops along the way. He sleeps with the quilt each night at the base. He said it reminds him of home but has one wish...wish it was longer and asked if I could make him another so he can have it reach from head to toe. That was enough to bring a tear to my eyes.

What a great feeling that your quilt gave him a part of home away from home. I would also like to thank him for his service. It is such a sacrifice to leave home and all that we love for service to one's country. I wish every military person could have a quilt from home.
