Default Making 4 patch with 2-1/2" blocks and I want to set them

I want to set the 4 patch of 2-1/2" blocks on point, so what size do I cut the set in triangles...I know somebody will tell me on here that's smarter than I am..
Thanks...

There really is no need to think about "math" for setting triangles!! Here is how I teach my classes. And this allows extra fabric along the edges to let the blocks "float" -- no losing any points! -- and extra for trimming the quilt before basting and quilting.

Thank you so much Jan. Your description is now hanging on my sewing room wall. Great information, and a problem that comes up frequently can now be displayed right in from of me. Love it!
