Making a carry along bag for a quilt and pillow
I made this Frozen quilt for my grand niece and with some of the scraps I made her an 18 x 18 throw pillow. But now that it is all done, I thought maybe a bag for her to carry them to sleepovers might be nice. I don't have much in the way of scraps left but I do have some light blue yardage that might work for the bulk of the bag and I can add some of the scraps for accent.
Are there any ideas our there on how to make a bag like that? I've done some Googling and Pintresting but am coming up empty. Nothing like waiting until the last moment.

Nevermind, I think I finally found the right set of key words to use in Pinterest. This Night Owl bag looks easy enough to get done in a day. Well maybe...with the wrapping and cooking I need to do tomorrow, sewing this bag might be pushing it.

Beautiful quilt it is sure to be loved. I have used this tutorial many times to make bags which I find quick and easy. I believe your could decide what size is needed and adapt this bag accordingly.

This one is free and look the same as the Night Owl one. This is the pattern my guild has been making to tote quilts for years. Seems like the Night Owl pattern made it bigger and used solid yardage of fabric.

Taking a free for everyone pattern and changing it a little and then charging for it ?

Stephanie....I have made several size bags in the early 1990's for my Hawaiian style quilting projects. I received a pattern like you referenced below called Mrs. Kimura's bag. She is no longer living but the story goes that she would
make these and when she flew to San Francisco return with sour dough bread in the bags. Mrs Kimura lived on the big island of Hawaii. The pattern has many uses and you can make in it in a number of sizes.
I love the frozen quilt you made. So pretty and I am sure it will be well loved. Kelela
