Im planning to make a "roller blind" design wall. Has anyone made one? Would appreciate any suggestions. I found a nice roller that is about 65" wide, and I thought it would be good as it would out of the way - the foam boards would be hard to store, so Im opting for this method.
Do I need to attach a fabric, such as flannel? If so, how? spray adhesive? thanks for any input

Window shade material can be sewn through as well using a leather needle on your machine. You could just take a piece of wide felt and sew it to the shade cloth and you would be set!

Everyone has such wonderful ideas.

Thanks UglyCook. I'm going to copy yours and put it above my closet doors.

Ugly Cook, was your fusible interfacing complete with grid when you purchased it? I have some that I bought and did not use for a watercolor type project. I might be able to use your idea for a temporary design wall in my sewing area.

Thanks for sharing with us!

The flannel has the grid on it. I got it at the Cotton Club online. We made the cornice out of a piece of fake crown molding ($8.00).
