Default Making Sheets to Go With Quilt

Has anyone ever made matching sheets to go with their quilts? I was on a fabric site this morning and they had some really beautiful, extra wide, 233 thread-count fabrics that would look great in a quilt, or just plain on the bed.

I never have made sheets to go with a quilt. Never even thought of it. I have really good fitting sheets and would not make sheets.

I have made baby sheet that is the extent of sheet making. The fabric thread count sounds good. This is one of those things that would be fun to try. Sheets to match the quilt. Nice idea.

What a marvelous idea! I have made small fitted sheets before but it’s the same except larger. I’m sure you could do it😃

I've done sort of the opposite. Back when they sold sheets separately rather than in a pack of 2 sheets/2 cases; I purchased sheets for my bed and an extra sheet for a quilt back. Still one of my favorites when on the bed with the quilt.

how about just adding a strip of your fabric to the top of the sheet making the wide hem the same as your quilt ?

I love this idea! I'm planning a new queen quilt for next year. This will be part of the plan.

That's a good idea. I don't know if a new sheet is any cheaper, or better than the fabric, but for esthetics, it might be nicer with just a band of color rather than a whole bed of it.
