Have any of you even done a "Mall Crawl" or a "Fabric Hop"? I would like to know if it is worth the time it will take to click on all the shops.

Well, let me see......lots of fabrics, lots of shops, I can drink coffee and eat chocolate......find new sites.....whats not to love?? It is a fun way to spend the extra hours and find new places to get great quilt stuff. Any time, any way! Why not? It is how I found a lot of my bookmarks.

I've done the FabShopHop a bunch of times - even won a $5.00 gift cert one time! They last for a month, so you can just do a couple shops a day if you want. I don't always finish the whole thing, but I always see a lot of cool stuff!

:D

There is a Mall Crawl to start next month. Go to Quiltindex.com and sign-up. They will then e-mail you and in it will be the list of participating shops. There are all sorts of prizes the shops are giving away. Of course you usually have to locate the "block" at so many shops to qualify for I think, but if you get enough at the end you can download a free quilt pattern. I done it and I got to see a lot of interesting things in fabric and notions etc. as well as daydream about virtual shop hopping I won't get to do any other way.

On the Mall Crawls & Shop Hops online, once you sign up you have access to their list of shops, then you visit each website & try to find either a block (for the Mall Crawl) or the bunny (for the FabShopHop). Each one has it's own set of rules about how many you need to find to qualify - the FabShopHop has prizes of gift certs up to a sewing machine. The other cool thing on the FabShopHop site, they have a fabric finder. You put in a description & it comes up with places that may have it.

It can be addictive! I try to have my credit card locked up when I do it! LOL
