Default Masterpiece 3 ply 50 wt vs. Aurifil Mako 50 wt

Has anyone compared those two threads? Wondering if Masterpiece
is as fine as Aurifil.

I love Masterpiece. Being 3-ply, it is not as fine as Aurifil, but I prefer piecing with a 3-ply. I also don't hesitate to use Masterpiece for applique. Lovely thread.

I use Masterpiece for quilting, it's a 3-ply. I use Aurifil for piecing, it's 2 ply, much thinner.

Depends what you are doing. Masterpiece comes in both two ply in bobbins only great for appliqué, and three ply spools. Good for quilting. My preference for piecing and appliqué both is a two ply, and three ply for quilting. So much for my two cents worth.
