Default How small do you dare go?

I was just on Pinterest and saw a tiny quilt made using the pineapple block, each block was only 2" square! Wow...that would definitely be a challenge. It must be paper pieced. I've tried one inch before but it was crazy madness and am comfortable with the standard 2".

How small would you dare go?

I can't see that small jk but I'd have it all bloody from pinning and sticking myself. That's like a asmall Excedrin bottle print.

Strip sewn 3/4" cut to finished 1/4" for a bargello (see avatar)
Have also done a lone star with the diamonds finishing at 1/4" (across width) (paper pieced)
And I have a whole quilt of 1" finished 9 patch blocks, plus 4" finished square in a square blocks. 9 patch were strip pieced, SIAS blocks were paper pieced.

I'll go as small as possible!!

I once made a queen size Log Cabin quilt. The log Cabin blocks were 3 inch finished. The center was 1 inch square and then there were 3 complete 1/2 inch rounds. It was beautiful when I got it done. I paper pieced the blocks. When it's that small, it's too easy to mess up.

I've done some disappearing 4 patches that started with four 2.5 " squares for the original 4 patches. Not paper pieced.

I've made several miniatures, I love them. Some of my favorites: 2 log cabins, one was square and the other diamond, both consisted of logs that were 1/4" wide. I currently am working on a New York Beauty block variation that finishes at 2".

This basket quilt is 4".

But I think my favorite is this Feathered Star, which finished at 5".

Goodness Peckish, those are lovely!

Ive done as small as 3/4" finishing at 1/4 for a bargello row, but generally I don't go smaller than 1 1/4 strips. Any smaller would become stressful to me and I try not to let my stress release become my stressor!
