I have a piece of blue painters tape marking my 1/4". That's about all I use.

If you are quilting, 1/4 inch is important. If you plan to sew garments, 5/8 inch is the standard measurement. Otherwise I have never used any other measurement.

I don't use my measurement plate because it's not accurate. I use masking tape for my 1/4in seam. I measured 1/4 from the needle and place the tape there.

I don't use them on mine either. Just my 1/4 inch foot.
