I made my two daughters and the grown grandkids pillows out of their Paw-Paw shirts..and the grandchildren and greats...I made bears and rabbits...all these were for Christmas last year.. ...my DH passed away will be 2 years this coming Nov 1st. They all loved them..and something they can keep...just a thought that I wanted to pass on...

We were having a family discussion the other day and quilting came up. My SIL looked at me with his big, soft, brown eyes and asked if I would make him a T-shirt quilt from his very old, very beat-up T-shirts. I looked at him with my old, experienced, blue eyes with a look that said something like, "Really? Seriously?" His big, soft, brown eyes looked back at me with pleading and conviction. Yes, he wants a T-shirt quilt.

Between you, me and the fence post, I love him with all my heart, but I do not want to make a T-shirt quilt out of his ragged shirts. Maybe I can convince him of another type of quilt.

Tropit, I've made a bunch of T shirt quilts and the worst one was when I was sent all worn out, holey shirts to work with. I mean, there wasn't a shirt younger than 10 years old in the batch. It looked terrible when it was done. I decided I won't do that again. The price was paid, but the whole experience was rather demoralizing.
