Norah!! Love your block. The quilting in the center really isso neat.

I finally bit the bullet and decided what to do with my centers...I used a flower motif I made with my embroidery machine. Over the years I've made many of these little motifs and getting to use them on this project was fun. I think I'll make a whole quilt using thes motifs.

Thanks for sharing your block, Norah. Good job and it's gorgeous.

Sharon, sorry I did not get to you sooner. I myself just went through breast surgery so did not know if I would be up to it, but I am fine fine fine, so I will do a block this comming week and get it to you. I too hope you can get enough blocks. If we make more then one should we sign just the one or both? And Hi everyone, hope you all had wonderful holidays!

I'm so sorry you had to have breast cancer surgery but am REALLY happy that you are "fine, fine, fine." God is good!

I have a really great friend who was diagnosed almost 4 years ago and was told she only had 3 months as the breast cancer she had was the fast growing-type (lesions are on the outside of the breast, not inside). Her children took her to Cancer Treatments of American and with special diet, food suppliments, NO white foods such as bread, potatoes, white rice, milk and sugar of any kind, she is well, appears to be cancer free and is feeling great. What a wonderful outcome, huh!

Thank you so much. That is so very awesome that your friend made it. Goes to show there are miracles. Gods maricles! I too eat no white: bread,potatoes,sugar,pasta, flour, rice and the list goes on and on....... But I am feeling better then ever. I eat no red meat (have not ate red meat for years), only free range poultry and fish. Total change of diet. Now if only the pounds would leave! I also at the same time of the breast surgery had cancer removed from my shoulder. Great Dr. but she was suprised with the arm. She knew she had to remove a cancer but original diagnose was Basal Cell and my family doctor did not want to try and remove it because it appeared to be deeper then normal Basal Cell. Well my surgeon said suprise, suprise, it had deep roots with pylops. But I got early diagnosed, so again I am fine fine fine, and again thanks for caring.

Yes, it sounds like you are eating the same diet foods that my friend did. My friend lost her husband and was diagnosed the same week. My DH and I decided we'd do the cooking for her while she went through all the 1/2 doses of chemo, radiation, breast surgery, etc. as her own children live on the East coast, and Florida. We did this diet cooking for 7 months and didn't seem any the worse for wear. What I was amazed to find out while cooking for my friend is that CANCER LOVES SUGAR as much as I love sugar and sugar "FEEDS" the cancer. That part of the diet was realllllllllllly hard on me. That and no potatoes or bread! Those are my comforts :evil: :? :x :( Stay well!
