Default King size pattern

I am going to make my son a quilt and he has a king size bed. I plan on having it quilted by a long arm with a very airy design. I am looking for an easy pattern. Any ideas would be appreciated. TY all!!

Atkinson Designs has some great patterns that are easy. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. My favorite is Lucky Stars, but they are also the ones who did Yellow Brick Road, Urban Log Cabin, Slide Show, among many others. Here is a link:

I add borders and more blocks to enlarge a pattern to king size.

I used the 10 minute block pattern for a king size top. Works up fast because it makes a nice large blocks.
