Default mitered corners

Does anyone remember the recent link for mitered corners...was a video by a gentleman showing how to snip pieces of fabric at the corners to get the perfect miter?

Yes! That's it, DottyD. Thank you so much. My corners usually LOOK ok but are really thick and this way seem like such a great idea.

AlienQuilter...thanks for what you did find. It didn't turn out to be what I was looking for but found other really cool things.

Wonnie

You are very welcome - yes I agree about the corners - it looked a very good method - hence I remembered it as I had put into my favourites !!
I am attaching the sashing to my Dear Jane quilt at the moment - it is beginning to come together now. ( I started it in 2007 - so it is high time !!)
Have a nice weekend !

Oh, I'm jealous! Want to do a Dear Jane so bad but too much on the table sewing and quilting wise right now. Have a Grandmother's Flower garden in process plus the usual birthday gifts, etc. Was it hard? I have a quilt book of 4" blocks...did a few of them and actually they were kind of fun! Have a nice weekend yourself!

No - not hard - although I have learned so many techniques - and have organised a small group - called Natterjanes and we meet once a month. We all spur one another on and help each other if we have a problem !
I started my DJ in May 2007 - so its not a quick project !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here is a link to my design wall of the blocks and triangles I have done in Christmas fabrics - and now attaching the sashing!
http://www.dotsbjwall.talktalk.net/
They are great little blocks to do - as you can always have one to do - when you have Doctors appts or on vacation !
I would only be too pleased to help in any way - if you decide you want to start !!

That is gorgeous!!! How big is it? How do you plan on using it? I'm afraid I would have to use it. Can't see packing it away but that's just me. Will definitely keep you in mind if I just up and start one!!! Did you pick your colors and just buy a lot or did you use scraps? None of my friends quilt but I really enjoy this quilting board. Have met so many lovely people. Finally tried a swap.. .mug rug swap and received very nice one in return. Also did the July Secret Pal swap and did enjoy that so signed up for the August one as well. Also, due any day now to get my quilt back from the Round Row Robin we started last Oct. Really excited!! And will be starting a Round Robin in Oct. Keep in touch! Wonnie
