Labyrinth Walk does well in shades of one colour of fabric. There are picture of a blue and purple here on QB? This pattern is on my bucket list.

A Trip around the World....I think that is what it is called....would look good with shades of one color. I have done two, one in purple and one in turquoise. I put a white center in each, but you could just put a lighter color in. Let me see if I can find my pictures. (Okay, when I found my pictures, I see that one doesn't have a white center...but there is white in it.)

I just googled "monochromatic quilts," as suggested by dunster, and there were tons of them. Google "purple quilts" also, and you will find just as many, only all in purple.

Mono = one. So a monochromatic quilt is a one color quilt. Can be many shades of one color. Google monochromatic quilts and look at the images.

Gray and black can be considered monochromatic. They are also called Grayscale.

I did an Around the World in various shades of green going from almost neon green with black background thru assorted green prints to green on white and green on pale yellow green.
Also did a braid table runner using some of the same fabrics along with a few I did not have when I did the big quilt (which still isn't finished).
Will see if I can get photo to work.

I actually think monochromatic bargellos look great too. But I tend to think that any kind of bargello looks good... ;-)

If you decide to go with the Bargello idea, you could do a series of red purples then a series of blue purples. That could look really sharp.

What about a Shakespeare in the Park quilt? I love this pattern.
