Fox and Geese pattern
I am making a fox and geese block and the pattern I have shows the geese going in "odd" directions. By that I mean they don't all go the same direction. The block has a center square with each side having a patch with 4 geese. The pic shows the geese flying pointing down on opposite sides. This seems like an odd placement to me but maybe there is some reason for it.

Perhaps show us a picture of your block.
Or a link to it online.
I just googled and there are several different variations and it looks like you might be doing the Eleanor Burns type. When you see it all together in a quilt top, the individual block makes sense.

Thanks QuiltE. I guess I'll go ahead and do it this way. There probably is no wrong method. I may enter this in the fair and just wanted to make it correctly. Sometimes those fair judges look for things like that. LOL. I thought maybe this had something to do with the way the game fox & geese is played. I never played the game so I don't know.
