Is this a featherweight? It is missing the belt. Where can I get another belt? Is it worth $35? Has a case top with handle.

    Any info is appreciated.

    thanks!

It's not a featherweight...but it sure is cute! Personally, *I* think it's worth $35...it's worth that just for the cuteness factor! LOL

It is not a featherweight. This type of machine tends to be very heavy. Even if it has a case, you would not want to carry it solely by the handle because of the weight.

IMO it is not worth $35 if you also need to buy a belt for it. For a machine like this without a belt, about $20 would be the going price where I live ($25 tops).

Note: I always check this type of machine to make sure that the bobbin case is included. A bobbin case alone can cost $25.

Its not a featherweight, but it is very cute! If you look at the bottom of the machine or where the plate is, it should give you a model number for the Singer.
You can Google Singer and the model number. This will give you more information about the age of the machine, etc.

It looks a lot like a 185 that I found in a thrift store and had to put a new puessure spring into. Parts are available, they are good machines. Enjoy your good find. You did get a good deal.
