That Kenmore looks like the one I bought in college (mid-70s). I still have it and use it even though I've got 4 other "better" machines. It's all metal and heavy and sews through anything! Don't have a cabinet for mine. You got some great deals.

WOW------you did great!

What a wonderful find, sometimes you get real lucky!
(Isn't it fun---I always thik I must have been a gypsy in my "last" life, I enjoy treasure hunting so much. A garage sale sign always means, I hit the brakes. We haven't been to any auctions for a long time. We used to go regularly and buy really good "stuff". But then we moved...)

I am so jealous and heart broken about your find. I have a machine just like this one. Mine is not in a cabinet. I am heart broken because in a move years ago I lost the attachments for this machine. I have not been able to find replacements anywhere. Sears does not make these any longer. I have even checked on E-bay without any luck. Please enjoy the machine. It is a wonder machine.

You did great at the auction. That machine looks very similar to my old Kenmore which I totally loved. I reluctantly gave it to my daughter after I got my new Viking. But only because I don't have room for two sewing machines. It's a real workhorse. Never had a bid of trouble with it. Just wanted a machine with more options.
