It has a top loading bobbin, 3 needle positions, drop down feed dogs, automatic needle threader and sews 1,100-stitches-per-minute. I kind of wished I had read the reviews before we bought it, but it was in the fever of black Friday madness and fear on missing a good sale.
I'm having trouble getting it to work properly and my free motion stitches are really bad. The first time I dropped the feed-dogs they stayed dropped and I had to take apart the bed plate to reach inside to push them back up so they would engage. It has stitch length, stitch width, and stitch tension dials. I've tried all variations of each. I've read that either it is fantastic or a dud. Apparently Singer no longer makes their machines in the US they have them made in China.
I'm really bummed and hope I can get it fixed or working properly. Being such a new sewer I'm not sure if it is me or the machine, but I was doing well on my Mothers machine.

I just finished folding my196 FQ that I bought from Connecting Threads black Friday sale......I went alittle overboard but I really like ther fabric and their sales......they ended up being about $.75 each......it was so much fun playing with the fabric-----and planning the quilts......

I just got my order from Marshals dry goods. It was my first time ordering from them, but it won't be my last. I was so pleased with the quality of the fabrics and the price was very reasonable. It will make a nice addition to my stash. The Christmas fabrics are very nice and will go to replenish the predations made on it this season.

I didn't go shopping on Black Friday, had my shopping done by making most of it. This morning I sewed bags from fabric instead of wrapping paper then keep the bags for next year to recycle. I saves a lot of mess and most people don't sew so they don't want the fabric anyway. I still have baking etc. to do

It's the same as when you search for a TV - there are numerous vendors selling the the same model.
Hancocks and numerous smaller shops are included.
AFAIK, though, the actual fulfillment of the orders is always still done at the store level.
Unless it's fixed sizes - like half-yard or yard cuts only - I can't see Amazon being set up for that sort of process.

I don't think it has any of the fabric actually in its warehouses - especially fabric cut from the bolt.
Prices advertised on Amazon for a particular item from a particular website/vendor are the same as at the website - including sales.

In the end, though, I find navigating an individual store's site much easier for finding "like" fabrics and/or trying to coordinate a few.
To Amazon, that specific design half-yard cut of fabric is the same as a TV or blender or book.
I don't think too many people buy 50 TV items at one time. ;-)
*I'm reminded of FavoriteFabrics interesting post a few days ago about Amazon and its sometimes contentious relationship with its 3rd party vendors.
