I am envious of your price you paid, but she looks like my black long bed who was well used. I love this machine. She is my first choice for sewing unless I need to zigzag.
Congratulations!

What a good looking machine. I love the way my tan one sews and that's really the bottom line, but I do want a shiny black one. Yours is a great find at a great price.

Roughly 16 pounds. I love mine and it it my go-to machine for piecing because it sews so beautifully.

I have a 301 that I ordered and already paid for but haven't gotten it yet. I have been waiting FOREVER.

Okay, so I saw a Featherweight last night in class. I know, it's not a 301 - but this is the first time I have seen one of these vintage machines in person. I fell in love with it! Love the way it looks! I don't know when, but someday I would love to own one of these machines. Well - I guess the when will be when the price is right. I will want to find one that doesn't need a lot of work done (rewiring and such) - because that isn't something I really want to have to do.

What a beautiful machine! I had no idea they had the long bed in the old Singers. Thanks for the photo! And have fun with her!
