Very nice first quilt! Lay pink or black print along side your quilt and see what you like. I actually love the idea of a pink flange -or 1/4" pink border and then the black print that looks like animal print for the binding. You have choices! Enjoy!

I was thinking black print also--didn't think of a flange though, that's a great idea!

Very very pretty, I think the pink binding would be nice, and SID will be very good way to go. Good job.

I like this idea. I think a pink border would take away from it somehow.

Beautiful quilt, expecially for a first. I'd go with quilt in the ditch and pink binding. That would 'finish' it off. Black binding with a pink flange would be great also, but might be too much of a challenge for a first quilt.
As far as quilting the borders, what about a zigzag?

What a beautiful quilt!! I love it. I prefer to make my binding the same color as the border next to it, but lay a few fabrics next to it and just look at it. You will know what looks best to you.

Welcome to the club. I bet you are addicted already!!
