Default My first quilt top is done for Granddaughter's Christmas gift--yahoo!!

I am so excited--my 5 yo grandaughter was here for a visit Labor Day weekend and we were looking at quilting books together. She asked if I could make a quilt for her bed for Christmas from a picture of a quilt titled "Surf's Up, Baby!" in "Simple Style Easy Weekend Quilts" by Sara Diepersloot. I've never made a quilt before and am in the process of taking my first quilt class so couldn't say no to my little princess. Well....I finished the top and took it to my class last night--they loved it and recommended a long arm quilter that they use--we found the perfect backing and she is picking it up today!! I am so excited I can hardly wait to see it!! You will see a picture if I uploaded it correctly!!

Great colors. Congratulations. What fun it must of been to sit and snuggle and look through quilt books together. It will be a truly treasured possession for the rest of her life.
