Default My Garage Cleaning Find

My BIL cleaned out his garage a few weeks ago. This was no small undertaking. He's had a 1966 Falcon buried under junk for close to 20 years. During the cleaning process several quilting books were found. My sister does not quilt so she has no idea how they got there. There were two actual books on machine quilting, which both include several patterns. One had a bias square ruler in it. There was a binder caled Spinning Spools that has several plastic templates for shapes that go with specific patterns. There were a couple of magazines with several quilt patterns in them. I was visiting my sister over the weekend for my Mother's 98th birthday.this was just another plus to a special weekend!

The binder called Spinning Spools sounds like the Georgia Bonesteel lap quilting once a month shipment. Years ago I got a block a month with templates and pattern. You got a binder to put them in. I still have them and refer to them often. That was back around 1988 to 1993, I think.

Lucky you. See what you can make with them. Happy Birthday to your Mom.

That must be the hiding place for all those little gnomes who swipe stuff from our sewing areas while we sleep! Good for you for finding their "stash"

Nice find. I have the Spinning Spools binder as well. I bought it way back when when I thought I would learn to quilt. Now that I finally am the instructions are a great help.
