Default My great news

Last Saturday our local quilt shop "Kelley's Pins and Needles" had their Christmas in July sale. Lots of door prizes and food and deals. They raffled off two sewing machines. One for a child and one for an adult. I was told you had to be there for the drawing, which we came back to the store at 4 in a rain storm. Guess what? My gbaby won the Janome Hello Kitty machine, I was so happy.

I love it!!! I started on a mini Singer when I was 7 and haven't stopped sewing yet. Because not as many kids are being taught these days she will be the 'talented' one in her circle!!!

That's a great machine! I used to keep one in my office and sew during lunch. I stopped doing that and brought it home. I wasn't using it (I have 14 other machines) so it's now packed back up for my little great niece to get one day - she's 18 months old now. I'm hoping she wants to learn to sew and maybe, cross my fingers, even quilt!!

How lucky! Now grams has to teach her how to sew and quilt - the sooner the better.
