I just got a call from my mom and she told me if she could find a Viking 1 at a good price she would buy it for me. She has a couple of older vikings that are embroidery machines and said they are the best workhorse machines out there. When my cheap machine broke she gave me one of her Brothers to use. However since it has been on the brink twice now she decided it just isn't suited for all the piecing and quilting I do.. She said I really need that old workhorse. Hopefully we can go to her friends in the next couple of days so I can test drive hers.. my mom is just so excited i have a hobby realated to the one she loves. She said i need the proper machine and she knows i am short on cash. She is doing yet another generous thing for me.

Aren't Moms the best! :) Hope you find the right "workhorse" soon & can enjoy many hours sewing & quilting with your Mom.

Mom to the rescue!! :-P
My granddaughter recently came into my sewing room, sat on my chair and said, "well Grama, which machine is going to be mine?"
