Be sure and center the lift table so it dosnt hit the back of the opening.
Above all have someone help you as it takes 2 people. It is very heavy.
Took me 2 days to put togather with just me doing it. I did not know about the metal pieces that fit over the bottom that you put the wheels in.
The instructions didnt mention them so I put the wheels on without them and they split the partical board when I moved so no more wheels on it.
Other wise I like it. It takes up alot of room so be sure and have a long wall for it or a big corner. It is 7 feet long open. The biggest gripe I have is that you have to keep it open cause the end pieces only close over the top. They do not fold down the side of the cabinet.
If the instructions tell you to put in shims to level the lift table dont bother it dosnt work. You need to adjust the screws that hold the table in place.
Be sure and have someone to help you do it.
Mine was one of the first 300 so it had flaws that they included instructions for fixing problems. I hope yours is updated so no flaws are there. Some of the holes for screws had not been done on mine. And the lift table had problems with leveling. But I finally figured it out and it is fine now.
Enjoy once it is togather.
It's been a PIA putting it together. Congrats that you did it yourself. Hubby's a mechanic and he's getting pissed at it.
The leveling of the platform is proving difficult. Plus the platform wobbles back and forth. Did you have this problem?

Sears is with KMart now so you might check with them about getting this table through your local KMart store.

You can fold it over the machine part but not down the sides of the cabinet. So it has to be open on both sides to use it. The back piece folds down. It would be nice if you could fold the sides down when you dont need it open all the way. No my platform dosnt wobble it has a million screws to hold it in place but you do need to adjust them to get the platform to be level.

After I thought about it a minute it made sense to me what you said and you're right, it would be nice to be able to fold them down while in use.

*sigh*

But hey guys, don't get too excited about this cabinet yet. We are having a heck of a time getting the platform both level and square. Right now, it's finally level but not sitting square in the cutout of the cabinet and so when raising to the highest position the edge of the platform hits the edge of the cutout. My husband is a handy guy with a technical background and he's not too impressed with this thing. The only way he can figure to fix it is to drill new mounting holes in the platform so that it sits back away from the edge of the cutout. I told him to hold off until after I contact the company. Kind of a bummer.

Plus, it kind of seems like I'm too tall for it. I know I need a good adjustable chair but...
It's like there's not enough room under there for me to stretch my leg out with the pedal.

beetle....I hope you are sewing on it by now;0)And, remind dh that it might be a bit of a pain..but, boy did you save him so much money!!:))What a lucky guy he is!:) Also,I am sure if you play around a hardware store, you can find (later) a hinge that will work for what you might like to have different on the table folding-you just might have to add a support brace if you do that...which they sell also:)And, I bet you are going to look like one smart quilter sitting behind it sewing away!!:))We are all clapping for you! I never got my platform to not hit the back so it does not sit level on top of cabinet. But at least it sits level for my machine when it is level with the top. Hard to explain. I just cant use my machine on top of cabinet only level with it.

Rose Marie, you will love it setting at the same level as the table top...eveything will move free thru it -espec larger items. I love mine like that and actually wasn't sure if I'd really like it and I so love that feature now;))Skeat
