My husband is so nice, he spent all day making me a beautiful new sewing studio. Ok ok, it's really a cleaned up area of our unfinished basement. But it's still all full of love :)

I think he just got tired of my stuff EVERYWHERE!!! Eventually I will even have real walls...lol. Right now its just sheets on the wall to cover brick and cement and my old kitchen area rug for the carpet. But it's quiet down there and no 6 year old allowed

That's just great Quilting Turtle! There's nothing like having your own space to be creative. Before you know it, it will be just the way you like it. :)

I have my little room that I sew in. It's about 10 x 10. Wish it was bigger, but hubby says I CANNOT have the master bedroom and we are NOT moving our bedroom to the smaller room. DRATS!!
When I am in the livingroom or just around the house and in a mood that no one likes, they send me to "my room". OH NO!! NOT MY ROOM! DON'T SEND ME THERE!!! lol
I have my tv, radio,,,of course all my sewing stuff and hubby or youngest will make my container of coffee and bring that to me, then politely shut the door and tell me not to come out until my mood has improved. One of these days they are going to say that and I'll never come out! Hmm...now how to get a bathroom in there

My brother built my mom and I a quilting room in the basement. Since its unfinished he slapped up some plywood walls and a plywood floor and put a door on the front. All because we had taken over his room for our quilting projects while he's at school and the one day he came home he accidentally sat on a pin that had been left in his bed!! Thank goodness for having our own quilting spaces!!!

Yeah Turtle! Isn't it wonderful to have your own space? Mine is a room off the master-I think it was suppose to be a sitting room or something....any way the grace frame wouln't fit in my old sewing room-so for a while I had a sewing room and a quilting room until DH decided that was to much! It is handier having it all together.

I like misbehaving so I get sent to my room!

Don't forget a camp bed too, for the little sleep we allow ourselves just to refresh our inspiration - its such a waste of sewing time!!

No room for a bed, I can just curl up in my fabric. lol
In Hawaii, I had a sleeper sofa in my room. There were MANY mornings hubby would wake up, not find me in the bed and find me on that couch.

I cleaned my daughter's room yesterday (she left Tues. for Japan) and my husband asked if I was moving my stuff down there. I said no- I'm taking a picture of the room while it's neat and sending it to my daughter to show her what it looks like if you pick up after yourself.

I did ask if I could come back to the family room if I promise not to let things get out of control. I'm in other daughter's room and I miss talking to people. I only want to bring the desk and sewing machine down, I'll keep my stash in the closet.

I also cleaned my son's room (just had to hang up a poster I took down and put away stuff the daughter threw in there) so I have 3 clean, unused bedrooms. Then I switched winter and summer clothes in my closet and changed to lighter bedding. I still have to clean the formal living room- there are boxes all over- I have NO idea where to put them- she didn't leave instructions.

And to top it off- I finished the 17 crumb blocks for my project. Would have started the Sunbonnot Sue blocks but dummy me left the photocopy at the office. It's my stash buster project, that doesn't seem to dent the scraps stash.

Did try to bargain with the last child at home- his room is very messy. I asked him if I could embarrass him into cleaning because the rest of the house is clean. Didn't work, but he did install my new printer I got to print on fabric. :)

I still have envy for those who have a dedicated room, I wish I could do that. Perhaps after the stuff I'm storing for 2 daughters goes away.
