Default What to make with homespun fabrics

Someone gave me probably at least 17 cuts of homespun...each are at least a fat quarter and some pieces are almost a yard... I was thinking to make a rag quilt... Any other ideas? Thanks!

I made fast & easy Turning Twenty quilts for my sons and other guys in my family. The guys all liked the plaids.

Homespuns do work great for rag quilts. You could also use it for a pieced backing on a jeans quilt.

A simple blocky log cabin or a square surrounded by a row of similiar fabric and then switch the colors for the next block.

I was given a huge bag of homespun scraps and could not bear to throw them away. I ironed each one and sewed them all together and then cut 8.5 inch squares and made two rag quilts. That bag of scraps completed the tops and the backs.

Homespuns are so warm and homey. I like that cottage / country style. Whatever you make will look good. Rag quilts look good but so does the plain square. Have fun!

Even a simple 9 patch would look warm and comfy.
