My seam allowance shows through finished quilt! Help!

Darn it!!! I never expected this!
It's even worse than that... it's the red threads escaping from the red fabric in blocks... Oh shucks!
This was my first attempt at star blocks and done on a little quilt.. at least I didn't make a big quilt with these. And I thought I had figured it out pretty good and my next one would be a whole lot better...
Well, maybe it will..... for sure I'll be more careful about fabric that ravels...

That is frustrating. Does it show through as a shadow or do the colors show through. If the colors show through, you might be able to trim the offending colors a little so the lighter fabric covers it. Sometimes it can't be avoided if the color is white. Maybe a picture would help.

To avoid this in the future, lay your quilt top on a light surface and check to see if any dark seams are showing through. If they are, just trim them a tiny bit shorter than the lighter allowance. If it isn't already quilted, you can still do it.
