Default Mystery Border--Please Help

So I am the queen of UFO's, and I have a Chimney and Cornerstone quilt top pieced almost 20 years ago. When I put the top together I cut out the pieced border. Unfortunately, I never pieced any of it. I can't find the pattern. I believe the quilt was from a Judy Martin or Mary Ellen Hopkins book. If this looks even remotely familiar, I would love to figure it out. I have posted pictures with a couple possible combinations.

Your quilt top looks a lot like Wilderness Log Cabin, in Judy Martin's The Creative Pattern Book. This link shows one version of the pattern (not the larger one you made) and the border. The big difference between your version and Judy's pattern is that hers has red stars randomly sprinkled in the light portions of the log cabin, but you might have decided that you didn't want to do them. http://www.quiltsforsale.ca/DB/searc...ame.php?QID=79

Looks like template cut pieces in that border collection of pieces, so it must have been a Marti pattern as MEH didn't use templates.

Can the pieces go together in a pineapple block? That is my first thought seeing the different sizes of triangles and parallelograms.

I don't think the border pieces were cut from Marti Michell templates, because her templates (all the ones I have, anyway) have the corners cut off for precise matching, and those corners are still on. This quilt looks familiar to me, and I have some Judy Martin books, so I'll check them for you....

Sorry, I don't think I have this pattern after all. I found a couple of Chimneys and Cornerstones patterns, but none had pieced borders or your center star. I looked in all my "Log Cabin" books, "Scrap" and "Quick" books, books by Marti Michell, Mary Ellen Hopkins, Judy Martin, Nancy Martin, and others. If I have it, which I now doubt, it's hiding in another category (like "Christmas", if someone made it with Christmas colors, etc.) Hope someone else finds it for you. Now to put over 60 books back where they belong...

I love the way your quilt looks, I hope you find the boarder, but to be honest, I think anything you do will look great.
