Just got a new Duetta 4500D and 'his' name is BOB. The dealer that sold it to me said that was a good name because it's in the serial number... so that's what I call him. I tell my DH everyday that I Love BOB, and he just laughs at me. All my friends know who BOB is now too!! LOL

Oh dear. I haven't named my machines. My car does not even have a name. No wonder it is chaos around here. At least my FW should have a name. LOL

I named my 1920 Singer Red Head Lucy, because well, it's a redhead.

After hanging out here awhile I finally decided I should name mine. My 1946 Singer Featherweight, my first sewing machine I got when I was 12, is Sheri, which was my childhood nickname. My 1956 Singer 403, which was my Moms that I inherited when she passed away in 2007, of course has her name, Nancy. Though I've shortened it to Nan because that was my Daddy's nickname for Mom.

So far, only 1 of my machines has earned a name... My "new" 201-2 in a case. Her name is Rosie cuz only Rosie the Riveter would consider THIS machine a portable!

I've got a few.
My Wards name is George, he's heavy as a brick
My White's name is Betty. Every time I move her I have to tinker with her to work again. So she was named "bit**ing Betty"
My Domestic is named "Iron Side" because I swear she is made from Cast Iron.
My Surger is called "Nippy" because she has nipped my fingers more than once.
My new Singer is called "Baby".

My Babylock Ellisimo is named Miss Ellie because she costs so much she deserves a name.
My featherweight is named Celine because she is a great Singer!
