To celebrate NQD, I am going to work on a quilt for a foster child.

Hmmm...my calendar (Kim Diehl Simply Beautiful Quilts 2013 quilting calendar) says it's March 16.

After a little research, I've come to the conclusion that she is correct. It was March 17 in 2012, but this year it is March 16. http://nqaquilts.org/

maybe NQA hasn't updated their web site....in any case - it's this month

The info in the link clearly shows it as being for 2012 ........... and the pattern is noted as being for 2011!

I am going to a quilt retreat on the 14th, 15th, and 16th, a perfect way to celebrate the day.

I'll be celebrating at the quilt shows in Lancaster, while I am taking a class with Eleanor Burns. I can't think of a better way to spend national quilting day this year.

I am thinking I will finish one of my quilts of valor and than begin hand quilting it. If I am lucky I will be able to finish the quilt prior to NQD, and will be able to start right in on the hand quilting while I relax in front of the tv.
