I have three quilts I am working on. So one week for each. On the last week I want to go to a quilt show I hope will still be happening. As for the parade have people sitting down and sewing on old treadle machines, as they are pushed around the float.

Thank you - if I was off the beam thinking of organizing this way, then at least I've got good company. 😉 I love scrappy quilts too - completely scrappy or "controlled" scrappy, I don't care - they're my favorite ones to look at and my favorite ones to sew, too.

I like your idea of the tower of storage boxes - I might try those.

And your costume for the parade is the same one I wear every day - even my shoes or slippers - always covered with threads.

I completely forgot that March was National Quilting Month, so holy moly, I'm late to the party!

I intended on getting my niece's Jagged X quilt started this month, but sadly, the stimulus still hasn't passed completely yet and I don't see anything moving for at least another week, so her quilt is pushed to next month, along with finishing my sister's DWR and my other niece's Mini-Irish Chain.

That said, I've been reorganizing and rearranging my quilting corner, I've already taken out two full bags of trash to burn (live rural, no trash pickup), reorganized all my papers and books and I'll be tackling my patterns and files later tonight. Depending on how I feel, I may move some furniture around, fiancé is gone this weekend and I won't have him in my ear trying to 'help' when all he'd be doing is giving me entirely too many ideas and not enough room to do them all, lol.

In between that, I've got black fabric that I need to cut into 2.5" strips to get ready for the Jagged X quilt, and I may be able to get some more of the Rainbow Bridge wall hanging done, just depends upon if I can get everything else done first. Also at the behest of my family, I've been working on a private YouTube channel, they've loved watching the videos I put up on Facebook but they're wanting more.

Maybe start with a rainbow? Value is probably more important than color for bargello quilts. I've only made pillow shams in bargello, but I used to do a lot of bargello style polymer clay items.

Edited to add: The quilt is from the book "Strip Happy". I think you can tell from the bargello pictures that it's the black print next to very light prints which give this random bargello the sense of "movement."

I have the fabric for a quilt for my youngest son in the dryer so I can start a quilt for him tomorrow. I am using a pattern called "Strummin'" by Pink Parakeet Designs. He loves to play his guitar and this quilt has guitars in the blocks. I bought a few FQ's for it and 6 yards of background fabric but I am also using some of my stash too.

I am keeping busy following Pat Sloan's BOW and think I will start her block of the day. My design board broke so I am re-doing that so I can put up my blocks and see what I need. I would like to start a new St. Patrick's Day wall hanging but don't know if I have time. Not enough hours in the day

I am going to make ( or at least get it started) a quilt that I have had the pattern for a long time. It looks a bit harder than ones I normally do so I don't know if I will get it finished in a month.

thepolyparrot, unfortunately or fortunately, however you look at it, 3-4 big bags isn't even a drop in the bucket, I won't even miss them, I'm just hoping that I don't have to take bags home. We're thinking about doing some more classes like this, just so I can actually get into the shed without taking out bags and bags and bags of scraps. LOL

love those rainbow quilts! I finally finished cutting about 900 4" triangles to started middle g-boy's 3D quilt--got the first strip done and guess what! Figured out by using my Accuquilt dies I would save time & be more accurate enough though it enlarged the pattern from the original 3" triangles. Works fine--except I forgot to reduce the size of my quilt and figured out I cut enough to basically tent his bedroom! So...think my nephew that has still to get a quilt will get one of these as enough for 2. So I'm working on piecing that--little slow as it's a tricky layout. And finally broke down and ordered minky backing for oldest boy's quilt--my LQS has been waiting for almost a month. Between Covid and weather guess things have been very slow.
