3rd day of it being over 90 degrees, so kind of hard to think of Christmas gift ideas, but the stockings I think would be good.

I like the placemat idea. I particularly like the snowman placemats where the napkin goes under his arm or the Santa face placemat.

I'm going to do some of those Strata Stars. I'm hooked on the concept, and you can do for any season. Good luck with whatever you choose.

I am making cute kitchen towels and potholders. Maybe some fancy bathroom towels for when guests arrive.

I think I am going to make everyone either glass coasters or those hot bowl holders for oatmeal/soup. The coasters I saw were crazy quilt with fairly small piecing, cut in circles or hearts and then overlocked. There is a tute for the bowl covers I saw somewhere. I think I am going to make one bowl holder for each of my coworkers as I watch us all heating soup, etc. everyday. Thanks for the heads up----Christmas is coming!!!

Gail, the one is Merry Santa Placemat & Napkin by Country Appliques and the other is Jolly Snowman Placemat & Napkin also by Country Appliqués. Their website listed on the patterns is: www.countryappliques.com. I love the snowman one and the Santa is new.
