I agree, I think that would work well. Right now there seems to me there really isn't quite enough contrast between the lighter purple and the outside green.

Assuming that the white is going to be set in the middle, making four blocks, you'll end up with a rather large white center. I feel that this will distract from the lovely colors that you've used in the rest of the block. Try switching the white to a less stark color--soft lavender or teal, for example.

It's going to be great when finished.

I think she said that the white is just paper and that she hasn't decided what to use in place of the white.

I love it! If I changed anything, as noted above, I would change the center. Maybe to something from the warmer color range. Golden yellow.

I like the way it looks now. I think the green would take away from the angel which is focus of square.
