Hi there everyone, felt I had to write to say how sorry I couldnīt bring you the pics of the last Fiesta. In case you missed some posts I put elsewhere.

As the evening progressed last Saturday, we heard a load of fire engines going down the main road. Then the Helicopters came out and we knew it was serious. At first we thought it was on the beaches that it had gone wrong but no it was just over the ridge we saw the smoke. Too near for comfort. The helicopters were going over our house for nearly 3 hours so we didnīt go out. Spain is like a big tinderbox and I have seen those olive trees just explode and sparks fly in all directions.

We still havenīt found out what happened but suffice to say when the helicopters start taking water out of someones pool its serious.

Take care everyone Elle

My own experience is seeing lots of helicopters is NEVER a sign of anything good. I am glad you stayed safe.

Sure will, have to wait for the local newspaper to get to the bottom of it.

Will keep you posted. Elle

Thanks Celeste, we were very concerned, it was a bit close for comfort, luckily it was a fairly still day, no wind, which helps in situations like that.
